    Hello :)

    a bientôt :-******************

  23. **Ulrike :

    Date: August 16, 2008 @ 4:46 pm

    Hello Mika!

Are you sure that these tatoos are real, not just a making of with computer-photoshop? Because it looks like the arm of an adult man, and the motif of the tatoo is … let me say so, a bit naive ?!

But if it’s actually true, than the man proves courage and a sense of humour and especially - he has a faible for the child inside and gives it a place on his current life :)

Btw. do YOU have a tatoo on your body, a little one… perhaps on a secret place… *blush* ;)

However, I wish you a beautiful weekend and enjoy the last hours as a 24-year-old!

    ♥♥ ulrike

YOU would actually get a tatoo? That’s freakin’ awesome! Just please don’t freak out like John Mayer did. Have you seen his arm lately? I can only ask myself why? It gets very addicting once you get one. I have three myself, still waiting to get my baby tiger…in the pounce position.

Hi Mika Ive left a comment already but I really want to ask you something.
I feel kind of cheeky as it doesnt have any reference to the above blog. Im just wondering if you read my poems in your last blog or if you liked them?
I understand you cant really answer indivdual questions but I think we are all curious to know if you get time to read all the comments? Perhaps you could let us now?
I have written many poems about you and put some of them in the book I gave you in amsterdam. It would mean so much to me just to know if you had the chance to look at it. (Lynn aka Greengirl)

    Hey M

As tattoos (how the hell do you spell that word??) go this is pretty cool - I’m not really a fan of tattoo’s but if they are temporary that’s okay.

The tattoo kind of reminds me of the monochrome drawings which appeared on the wall behind your bed/the backdrop in your video for ‘Happy Ending’ which I liked a lot. Lovely simple line drawings. Who did those??? I would’nt like a tattoo of those either but wouldn’t mind them on a wall!!

Have a good rest of the day/weekend!

    Be good! Love Rxx

Nice one, brings out the child in the man don’t you think ? So, as much as i love tattoos (i’d like one myself !!), i’d think twice before getting one ! If you do get one, why not get one designed by your sis ? THAT would be awesome !!

    you are so subtle!!! :o

will you get it on your birthday??…I smell that you will.. :(

…will you be that kind to show it to us when you get it?… :)

Though it won’t make me happy at all…

    just my non-sense opinion:

don’t get a tattoo if you’re not 100 % sure you want it! you might get bored of it, or maybe ashamed, and you’ll suffer even more to take it out…you don’t have to get it just to show people that you’ve grown up and now you’re an adult…it will actually proove that you haven’t grown up at all if you do that. :(

I believe that watching cartoons and still playing with toys prooves much more maturity than a tattoo…it prooves that you are mature enough to keep the child in you ALIVE! ;)

you have many other skills to be proud of and a tattoo won’t change that but it will make you approach faster that manufactured popstar icon: who NEEDS to have a tattoo! (look at Robbie Williams!)
You know you don’t want to be that, you don’t want to be a manufactured popstar…you’re way too unique!
and who knows…today a tattoo..tommorow what?… :( I really don’t want you to lose your trademark personality by tending to be an ordinary singer. You have a great career that you should be really proud of…you have a great family supporting you…same you should be very proud of…you’ve hardly managed to make it through this music bussiness in spite of all those people who were against you…but today you can be sure that you’ll find them humming your songs from time to time!

That’s what makes you special, Mika,
and a tattoo wouldn’t be neccesary!

    I can’t believe I’ve said that! :o

(did I mention that I’ve won a public speaking competition this year? :D )

    think about it ok?

    A bientot!

    Bianca

    well that’s beautiful! especially if it has some sort of special meaning behind it, like if one of the guy’s children drew it on him or something. But it looks almost too good to be done by a little kid, but then again, there are some very talented youngsters out there these days. heh heh! :}

Not bad, not bad at all.

stars, daisies and suns… the only things that I am able to draw! and in a even more childish way than the ones in this tattoo!
this man has all my understanding!
the cat is so nice, and the boy & girl remind me vaguely the strange man on the t-shirt you were used to wear.

speaking of the strange man t-shirt, maybe you could explain to us who is that man, who drawn it and what’s the meaning of that character…
I like it so much that a friend of mine made a t-shirt like yours for me, but… I would like to know exactly with what I go out, just in case someboby should ask…
seriously, I am curios and I really love that series of t-shirts =)

I agree that the contrats between that “real macho man” arm and the sweet kindness of the drawing is awsome!
that’s a real man, absolutely confident in his virility and comf with is child side!

Indeed, the drawing is beautiful, even on a piece of paper…

  96. Melie :

    Date: August 16, 2008 @ 11:25 pm

I’m not a tattoo fan. I am, however, a rubber stamp artist. That tattoo has a similar style to a lot of stamps that used to be popular a few years back (fashion in stamping changes just like clothing lol). I happen to really like that style and therefore LOVE the tattoo. Gosh, who would have thunk it?

    Thanks for sharing it.

That’s an amazing tattoo! Is it real? Though I must say those drawings seem strangely at odds with the arm. Not sure why. Anyway… I love the kitten! ^_^ The little ink characters seem to be so in love with life! That’s a good image to take forever with you. After all, that’s what tattoos are about, right? They are for remembering something forever.
There was a time when I thought about getting a tattoo myself. Not such a big one as this, but probably in this style. In the end, I changed my mind, because I couldn’t decide on a picture I would want to bear on my skin for the rest of my life, haha. Silly me. But one changes so much with the years! Life shapes one in the most unpredictable ways.

By the way… your birthday is getting closer! :D I’m happy already, as I was invited to the party, haha. Hope you have an amazing day.

    Bonsoir, c’est encore moi :) :-*

Voici un extrait d’un article qui traite de “l’histoire” du tatouage pour ceux que ça interesses (sorry for the english people I found an article about tattoos but I am not be able to translate it :()

    voici:

seriously, you wouldnt believe what happened to me today, its like 7 am in the morning and i went to an event and got completely lost in the city i was in, plus everyone got black balloon but me, that sucks. i finally ended in a bar(after i missed the last train) where dont ask me how or why they finally played BIG GIRL on their retro juke box, i cant believe what im seeing, i went to a GUY BOURDIN exhibition earlier today(yesterday now)( a genius photographer who put humour into his photos, pretty rare , just like in lyrics, pretty rare too) anyway dont ask me why but i saw a photo with ´people hanged on a rope and i thought of you, now i come here and !!!!! weird, isnt it?
for another tattoo i was thinking of writing, like ” such is life” written on my neck, the last words of ned kelly before he was hanged, powerful and humoristic at the same time, lmao, what do ya think? seriously its damn cool,no?

Yo!MIKA,this tattoo is fantastic! mighty arm must belong to a very muscular man, because it is really great! Even the tattoo as the piercing are forms of art, the art of the body decoration, now very fashionable, but also practiced at ancient civilizations and contemporary ethnic groups who used this practice to indicate their identity or membership of a particular group or caste. As I mentioned last night, worship the ancient civilization of Egypt and it seem that with it the tattoo was popular both for living is for the dead, the mummy Otzi (3300 a.c.)found in 1991 in the Italian Alps had tattoos engraved some therapeutic on the corpse. In our day the tattoo in particular, takes on different meanings depending on the style and the area of the body on which is engraved, can express transgression, sensuality, rebellion, aggressiveness…although in recenti times, the tattoo was flanked by body painting, that unlike it has temporary period. Sometimes I think I want to make a tatoo such as new skool, maybe a sacred heart on my right hand, but I fear (despite my venerable age of 38 years!)pain caused by machine needle and also to obtain some bad disease, for these reasons I have given up, but if my husband or my best friend they did tattoo with me perhaps I’ll change my mind, same speech also for the piercing on the nose that would do that but I will not ever. For now I have enough holes on ear lobes that I made the tender age of 12 years (that time I was not anxious as now), I failed to grow on…as usual I wish you good night and a great tattoo shaped kkkkkiiiiisssssssssseeeeesssss!!!!!!(excuse for my bad english)
P.S. Many whishes for tomorrow, you’re aging, Ah!Ah!Ah!

The drawing is nice but it’s a very large tattoo, I hate that. If I’d meet a rough, hairy guy with such tattoos all over his body, I’d run off at full speed! (I shouldn’t be so choosy or I’ll end my days beeing a spinster):-)
I warn you against getting a tattoo : it’s very painful… and your mum would kill you:-(

It`s interesting and funny, but I don`t like tattoo so much, it`s not my style, mybe on a covert place. ;)

Make a tattoo with henna, it disappears
in a few weeks and you can make always a new one, so it is never boring.
    :D LOL ;)

  149. Hey !! :

Bravo !

I know people who have had their children’s drawings tattooed. I think it is a sweet way to remember them as the lill nymphs they were. they grow so fast and as they grow some forget how to draw.
