Today is Mika’s birthday! The man himself turns 33 today and fans around the world have been celebrating in so many wonderful ways!

Last night Mika performed at the world famous Baalbek in Lebanon, a truly unique place in the world of music, but also for Mika. Concerts in the country of his birth are always bound to be very special, but about this place, Mika says “Baalbek est l’un des endroits les plus importants au monde pour la musique.” (trans – Baalbek is one of the most important places in the world for music.)
Fans delighted in the chance to see Mika perform again in his birth country and flocked to the beautiful arena for the 60th edition of the International Festival. It was a magical evening, check out some of the fan photos from the concert in the live album on Facebook here.
Tonight Mika will perform at the stunning Temple of Bacchus at the 60th International Festival of Baalbek in Lebanon! It’s not often he gets to return to his country of birth to perform, so it’s sure to be an incredible night.
Mika is preparing for the show in this picture, taken from his Instagram! He says:

Italian fans are set for 11 shows coming up over the next 2 months, starting with the beautiful setting of Molfetta. Palermo follows this weekend at the iconic Stadio delle Palme, then Pistoia, Genova, Perugia, Piazzola Sul Brenta, Triest, Chieti and Roma in July, then last but not least, Cenobbio in August.
Spread over an exiciting mixture of outdoor and covered venues in some truly beautiful and historic spaces, coupled with Mika’s incredible new stage show, the concerts are going to be very special indeed.

Last night Mika took to the stage at the iconic London Palladium, a venue with a lot of history and very close to Mika’s heart, having performed there many times in his youth. Fans travelled in from all over the world, with over 100 members of the MFC gathering together ahead of the event for a special fanclub party!
The show itself was spectacular, with standing ovations, a dancing crowd and a riotous encore. The reunion of Mika and his home town crowd was always going to be a special evening, but last night surpassed it all!

Last night Mika took to the stage at Le Printemps de Bourges in France for the first official festival of his Summer festival appearances. It was a great show, the fans turned out in abundance and partied with true style, kicking off what is sure to be an exciting summer ahead!

MIKA is set to release a new live DVD ‘SINFONIA POP,’ a full recording of his incredible orchestral concert in Como, Italy in 2015. Due for release on May 27 2016, it will be available on DVD, blue-ray and digital.
Filmed in the elegant surroundings of the 19th century Teatro Sociale in Como, Italy, Sinfonia Pop features MIKA performing all his best-loved songs, accompanied by a full orchestra conducted by prominent Canadian composer / orchestra leader Simon Leclerc. This unique live event was a recreation of three Montreal concerts MIKA performed with Leclerc the previous year, and the show is a perfect fusion of pop and orchestral music. Including tracks from his most recent album, the critically acclaimed No Place In Heaven, the set also features hits from across his career.

On Easter Monday 28th April, the second part of Mika’s epic Radio 2 broadcast was aired on the BBC. He talked about his love of music, the things that have inspired him in his career and played a selection of his favourite tracks.
