Mika to close Finale Top 14 at Stade de France!

On 2nd June, Mika will perform live at the grand finale of the 2017-2018 rugby season, the Finale Top 14 at Stade de France in Paris!

After the final where two as yet unknown rugby teams will compete for the Bouclier de Brennus, Mika has been invited by the National Rugby League to perform in front of the 80,000 spectators and rugby fans in the Stade de France for a spectacular closing show! This will be no ordinary gig – it will be a specially created live performance, unique to the event!

MIKA to feature on Sheena Ringo 20th Anniversary album!

To celebrate the 20 year career of incredible Japanese artist Sheena Ringo, a special tribute album will be released on 23 May 2018! The concept of the record is to ‘go beyond’ – beyond generations, beyond music genres and beyond all borders. An outstanding lineup of collaborators and featured artists are already involved on the album, including AI, Yosui Inoue, Hikaru Utada & Nariaki Obukuro, Kaela Kimura, Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku, Takao Tajima(ORIGINAL LOVE), Sakura Fujiwara, Takako Matsu, Daichi Miura, RHYMESTER, LiSA, Rekishi, the ウラシマʼS(Special Band formed for this tribute by the members from SPITZ/Mr.Children/ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION/Ameno Parade)… and now MIKA! There will also be a special short novel by million selling writer Tesuya Honda for the CD booklet.

Mika performs ‘The Music of the Night’ for Radio 2 Special

Last night, BBC Radio 2 aired a very special show dedicated to the musical career or legendary writer and entertainment personality Andrew Lloyd-Webber, to celebrate his 70th birthday. Jo While presented the 2-hour show with contributions from a host of talent including Nerina Pallot, Mica Paris, The Vamps and many more, with covers of huge songs from The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Evita and more.

Ryan Riback reworks ‘Celebrate’!

A fantastic new rework of Mika’s huge hit single ‘Celebrate’ (feat. Pharrell Williams) is out today!

The very talented Ryan Riback has rediscovered the track and worked his magic on it. You might have heard it in the new Pilot pens commercial, they have chosen to use it across their 100 years of Pilot global TV campaign!

Speaking about the track, Ryan says:

‘When I got the call to work on a record by Mika and Pharrell I immediately jumped at the opportunity! “Celebrate” was already an amazing record but it was fun to take that record and put my own twist on it. Given the lyrics and vocal melody are so uplifting, I decided to keep it happy and fun, and just add some fresh sounds :)’

New Season of The Voice France starts tomorrow

Mika will once again take to his red chair for the brand new season of The Voice France, starting tomorrow, Saturday 27th January 2018. He’ll join friends and fellow coaches Florent Pagny and Zazie, along with new coach Pascal Obispo, to discover this year’s new batch of talent. Who will Mika turn his chair for? Mika receives the keys to the City of Florence

Earlier today, Mika was honoured with a special ceremony where he was awarded the keys to the City of Florence by the mayor, Dario Nardella. The tradition is reserved for esteemed visitors, residents or notable others who the city wishes to honour, naming them honorary citizens of the city. It was a wonderful experience for Mika and a big honour to be recognised in such a way by a city he holds so close to his heart.

The ceremony itself was held in the stunning Sala Leone X frescoed room at the town hall,  the historic Palazzo Vecchio. Mika later visited Galleria degli Uffizi with the director of the world famous museum and saw amazing works of art like Botticelli’s ‘Primavera.’

Mika creates 2 more ‘The Art of Song’ shows for Radio 2

On Boxing Day and New Year’s Day just passed, Mika treated fans to 2 brand new episodes of his hit radio series ‘The Art of Song.’ With special guests including Carla Bruni, Louis Walsh and Clean Bandit, Mika took listeners through two more incredible songwriting journeys, talking about classic hits, lesser known musical gems and the songs that have shaped him personally, as an artist and a man.

Casa Mika final episode wows fans!

Last night, the final episode of ‘Stasera Casa Mika’ Season 2, Mika’s explosive and entertaining Italian TV show, wowed fans across Italy and beyond.

Guests included legendary Brazilian musician Gilberto Gil (complete with full orchestra!), the incredible Carla Bruni and rapper Fedez. The episode also featured Mika singing various numbers, including an incredible duet with Gilberto Gil. And should we talk about Mika’s opening suit?! You have to see this…
